01 — Terms of service
1.1 The Service
PrivSIP provides SIP trunking, DID numbers, number porting and related voice services (“the Service”) to the holder of a PrivSIP account (“you”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms, the privacy policy in section 02 and the acceptable use policy in section 03.
1.2 Accounts without identity verification
An account is opened with an e-mail address and a password. PrivSIP does not perform identity verification (KYC) and does not request your name, date of birth, identity documents, proof of address or a description of your use case in order to provide the Service. The e-mail address is used for signing in and password recovery only. You are responsible for keeping access to it and for all activity under your account.
1.3 Prices and payment
All prices are set in US dollars and are payable in cryptocurrency only. More than 250 coins and tokens are accepted through our payment processor. The exchange rate shown on an invoice is locked for 20 minutes. Plans are prepaid for 30-day periods and are activated automatically once the payment confirms on-chain. There are no setup fees, no minimum terms and no regulatory surcharges beyond the prices shown before you pay.
1.4 Renewal and prepaid credit
Plans do not renew automatically; a plan ends at the close of its period unless you renew it, and renewing early extends the current end date by 30 days. Changing plan converts the unused part of the current period into prepaid credit. Prepaid credit is spent per second at the prices on the rate deck and does not expire while the account has had activity in the previous 12 months.
1.5 Refunds
Unused prepaid credit is refundable within 14 days of the top-up, in the coin originally paid, less network fees. A plan may be refunded within 72 hours of activation, less the value of any usage recorded on the trunk during that period: included minutes consumed are valued at the rate-deck price of the destinations called, and activated DID numbers at their monthly price. The balance is returned in the coin originally paid, less network fees. Refund requests are handled through live chat.
1.6 Numbers and porting
DID numbers are assigned without requesting an address or documents from you; where a country sets local requirements for a number range, PrivSIP fulfils them itself. Numbers can be ported in free of charge and continue to work with the losing carrier until the port completes. On request, PrivSIP will release your numbers to another carrier.
1.7 Emergency calling
Emergency calling (E911 / 112) is an optional add-on per number and requires a registered service address for that number, so emergency services know where to respond. Without the add-on, emergency calls are not routed and you must keep another means of reaching emergency services.
1.8 Service levels
The Enterprise plan includes a 99.99% monthly availability commitment, with service credits of 10% of the monthly fee for each 0.1% shortfall, up to 100% of the fee. All other plans run on the same infrastructure on a best-effort basis. Planned maintenance is announced in the dashboard in advance.
1.9 Your responsibilities
You are responsible for securing your PBX, devices and credentials, and for all traffic sent through your account. Fraud Shield spend caps limit the cost of a compromised system but do not replace your own security.
1.10 Closing an account
You may delete your account at any time from Account settings in the dashboard. Deletion is immediate and removes the account, trunk, credentials, orders and settings. PrivSIP may suspend or close an account only as described in section 3.5.
1.11 Liability
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, PrivSIP's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, and PrivSIP is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or toll charges arising from a compromised PBX.
1.12 Changes to these terms
Material changes are announced in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
02 — Privacy
2.1 Our principles
PrivSIP is built on data minimisation: we collect only what is needed to operate, bill and protect the Service, keep it for a fixed and published period, and then delete it rather than archive it. We do not sell, rent or share customer data with third parties for marketing, analytics or any other commercial purpose.
2.2 What we hold and for how long
| Data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| E-mail address, password hash | Sign-in and password recovery | Life of the account |
| Call detail records | Billing, fraud detection | 30 days (or 7, your choice) |
| SMS delivery records (numbers, status, cost; no message text) | Billing, fraud detection | 30 days (or 7, your choice) |
| Received faxes (PDF) | Delivery to you | 24 hours |
| SIP signalling traces, registration IPs | Troubleshooting | 72 hours |
| Orders and payment references (amount, coin, transaction id) | Accounting, refunds | Life of the account |
| Live-chat transcripts | Support history | 90 days |
| Identity documents | — | Never collected |
| Call audio | — | Never recorded |
2.3 Payment processing
Crypto invoices are issued by our payment processor. It receives the amount, the currency, an order reference and a plan description; it never receives your e-mail address or any other account detail from PrivSIP. Payment pages are hosted by the processor under its own privacy policy.
2.4 Communications privacy
Signalling is encrypted with SIP over TLS 1.3 and audio with SRTP between your PBX and our edge. There is no call recording feature on the platform, and call content is never inspected, monitored or stored. When you stream a call's audio to your own server through the API, it is passed straight through to you and not kept. The text of an SMS is held only until it is delivered.
2.5 Requests for customer data
PrivSIP does not entertain requests for customer data and does not enter into data-sharing, monitoring or standing access arrangements with any authority or third party. Because the Service is built to hold as little as possible, the data described in section 2.2 is all that exists, and it is deleted on the schedule shown there.
2.6 Your choices
You can shorten call detail record retention to 7 days, request a copy of the data held on your account through live chat, and delete your account from the dashboard at any time.
2.7 Website
This website sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party trackers.
03 — Acceptable use
3.1 Principles
PrivSIP is built on freedom of communication. We treat customers as responsible individuals and businesses entitled to private communications: we do not inspect call content, do not require a description of your use case and do not restrict categories of traffic. This policy is deliberately narrow and covers only conduct that endangers the PrivSIP network or the carriers and operators that use it.
3.2 Permitted use
You may use the Service for any purpose that does not fall under section 3.3, including but not limited to:
- Business telephony, contact centers, help desks and remote teams of any size.
- Outbound sales, notifications and campaigns, including automated and pre-recorded calls.
- Programmatic voice, IVR systems, call tracking, testing and development.
- Reselling the Service under your own brand, on any plan. A Vault agreement is optional and only needed for wholesale pricing.
- Privacy-sensitive work such as journalism, legal practice, healthcare, advocacy and security research.
- Presenting your own caller ID, including numbers held with other carriers.
3.3 Restricted activity
The following are not permitted on any PrivSIP plan:
- Attacks on, or deliberate disruption of, the PrivSIP network, its infrastructure or other customers' trunks.
- Activity intended to harm other carriers or operators that use or interconnect with PrivSIP.
3.4 Network limits
To protect customers and the network, every plan has a calls-per-second ceiling and Fraud Shield daily spend caps, both shown in the dashboard. Higher limits for legitimate high-volume traffic are available on request and are not a sign of suspicion.
3.5 Enforcement
Enforcement is proportionate and, wherever possible, preceded by a conversation. If we identify a concern, we contact you through the dashboard or live chat and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Where action is needed, we apply the narrowest measure that addresses the issue, such as limiting a specific destination or call rate, before considering suspension. Accounts are terminated only for serious or repeated breaches of section 3.3, and unused prepaid credit is refunded.
3.6 Monitoring
Automated systems review traffic metadata only, such as volumes, answer rates and destinations, to protect the network. Call content is never monitored or recorded. Concerns about traffic on our network can be raised through live chat.
